Yup, it's broken.

Well, we had our appointment w/the pediatric Orthopedist... and it's definately broken.

Spiral fracture of the tibia but it did not break the periosteum, as figured. So, he was put into a Fiberglass Cast for 3 weeks. We will then return for repeat Xrays and, hopefully, removal of the cast.

This one is definately sturdier than the Cast/Hard Splint from before. Heaven only knows what he will break swinging it around. But, he's at a more pronounced 45 degree angle at the knee so he has to pretty much walk on his tiptoe. He's slowly but surely figuring it all out, and that's a good thing.

Bathtime = not fun. If any of you ever have a toddler in a cast, just give me a holler and I'll give you some pointers. Let's just start with the fact that Glad Press and Seal is our new best friend.

I'll try to get some video of peg leg up soon. For now, new pictures of the groovy green fiberglass cast:

and a cutie for good measure:

Hi Schindlers! I was checking up on what's up with da nephew and thought I'd leave you this link:

It appears that the "Cars" character of Tow Mater was inspired by this little garage on Route 66 in Kansas! So I wanted you and Davis to be able to see that.

Lots of luck with the cast and all -- much love, - Laura.
