It started with the first few viewings of "Little Einsteins" (a Playhouse Disney favorite) when we started to notice that the 10 month old kiddo would hum back the song of the day. In pitch. His favorite: The Blue Danube Waltz by Strauss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Danube) It was just a little weird, kind of funny, and of course, not something he would EVER let us catch on Video.
The next big interest in life: My Mom and Dad's piano. He LOVES that thing. He just likes to sit and hear what he can "bang" out. If he's playing in the family room, you can say "Hey Davis, play something High." and he'll run over and hit the Highest note on the keyboard. Say "Hey Davis, play something Low." and he'll do the same with the low note. Again, I don't know if other kids this age are doing that, but it's fun to us!!!
The next big adventure was this weekend when Chris broke out his Trumpet for the first time for Davis to see. Oh boy, Oh boy. Davis has always been drawn to the sound of Horns (trumpet, trombone, etc.) on the Television. (He will literally stop in his tracks when he hears it) With a real Trumpet in the room, you would have thought it was Christmas. He loved hearing the notes coming out of it, and loved "trying" to get it to play himself. I think if he had Actually gotten a note out on his own, we would have had a new favorite instrument.
