OH what a month! (Thoughts on November)

Well, Mary Beth would like to apologize for having not posted AT ALL in November. What a crazy month!

It all started with MB's Mom and her Knee Replacement on November 2, 2007. The surgery went well and the doctor was VERY pleased mechanically with the results. Then the recovery phase started. She did great in the hospital but as soon as she got to her own house, her blood pressure (a constant worry) started to sky-rocket. After MANY discussions with her Primary Care Doctor, medicines were increased and she showed LITTLE improvement. She did manage to start to get out of the house to Therapy, but she still just wasn't herself.

That will bring us to Last week (November 27th-ish) when Dad had to take her to the ER (upon Mary Beth's encouragement to do so). The doctors there found that her Blood Pressure medicines were putting her into Acute Renal Failure... in other words, her kidney's were shutting down. After two days in the hospital (which is another story for another day), she finally started feeling like a human again! We found out that one of her meds was shutting her kidney down and the other meds were close to 6 times the amount she needed to be on. UGH! But, things are looking up!

After all, it's December now... things HAVE to start getting better!

I promise to be better this month!!
