Giving Thanks!

Well, this thanksgiving we were BLESSED to welcome Richard and Esther (Chris' dad and Step-mom) up to Kentucky for the holiday!! What a great treat!

Chris and I were talking the other day and we determined that it had been at least 20 years since Chris had celebrated thanksgiving with his father. We had such a great time and Davis really got to hang out with his Grandparents and show his own little personality.

Thanksgiving dinner took place at the Lorson's, with Mom Lorson trying her darndest to "feel better" for the day. She was such a trooper!! Of course, with Mom being out of commission leg-wise, that left Amy and Mary Beth to do the cooking. Let's just say it could have been worse!!! Only one SMALL fire (woohoo!) and no one really needs to know how much Butter MB used on the Turkey (hey, that's how her Grad School Roomie Jenn used to make it!!)

The rest of the weekend consisted of Mary Beth and Esther doing some "serious" shopping (Wink, Wink) and Chris and Richard installing a new alarm system into our house. So now you've been warned... don't bother trying to break in!

Attached is a picture of Davis and his Grandpa enjoying storytime before bed... it is a picture that means A LOT to Chris and one that we will cherish for a long time to come !
