Oh! The State Fair!

How could I forget to put up pics of the state fair? Oh, that's right, I'm super busy and very forgetful. Oh well. So, here you go, a rundown of our trip to the fair last week...

Davis had a good time. Got his first taste of what a real cow sounds like:


And the all important first taste of fresh Cotton Candy:


He took well to Charlie, "the world's largest dog", who actually looked more like a chew toy rather than a dog, but whatever...


and was more than excited by the fact that he got to walk THROUGH a TARC bus (that's our city transportation for you non-Louisvillians) 100 times.


Chris and Davis discussed world geography, and most importantly, where KENTUCKY is!


and what would the day be without looking at the baby chicks hatch?


and being allowed by mom and dad to have even MORE sweet treats? (all this after a corn dog, no less!)


Overall, a very good trip to the Kentucky State Fair! MB was a little disappointed b/c she didn't get her entry into the Scrapbook Competition on time (darn selling of the house at a BAD time!) and, when she saw the grand champion's entry, got even MORE upset because she SOOOOOO could have won. Oh well, there's always next year. And I'm additionally sorry that I didn't get a picture of the winner of the ugly lamp contest for you all, but again, there's always next year!
