Update on mom

Hey all! Everyone keeps on asking about mom... so allow me to first say THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and concern. We couldn't have made it through without all of you!!

For those who don't know, Mom had a stroke on March 1st. She was in the ICU for a couple of days and in the hospital for about a week. She's been home for about a week and half now and is doing WONDERFULLY. We are still working on finding a "happy place" for her blood pressure, but she's doing remarkably well. She doesn't have any of the "normal" symptoms/side effects when you normally think of someone having a stroke (no aphasia, no slurring of speech, no droopiness of the face, no weakness) and seems like her normal self.

She's still on some "anti-seizure" medication that is strictly preventative and this medicine does have some side effects that we're not too happy with (it's slowing her brain synapses on purpose, though, even if we don't like it!) but hopefully she will be off that medicine the first week of April. Or so we hope.
